See Lee UK : Few things you could of added. Shame you didn't show the other clock which is just up the street from the one you showed. It has two figures that strike their bell on the hour. The Nails is where we get the saying 'hit the nail on the head' (striking a deal ) from. A lot of maritime sayings we use today also originate from Bristol. 'Shake a Leg.' When sailors used to take women on board and the morning call was 'shake a leg' so if a smooth leg was shown then the person was left to sleep. You should have said how tiny the Mathew is too.
